After my star turn on ‘The Block’ (see my last blog), I’m stepping back into the limelight this month at the Melbourne Home Show 2014.
The Home Show will be at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (Jeff’s Shed) from Thursday 10 April to Sunday 13 April. You’ll find our stand in the ‘indoor and outdoor’ section, as polished concrete is suited to both uses.
Thinking about Polished Concrete?
If you are thinking about polished concrete for your new home or renovation, this is an excellent opportunity to ask me lots of questions in person and to examine samples first hand.
I’ve also created a novel display, using some miniature concrete trucks and a concrete slab 1.5m long by 30mm wide, showing the stages involved in my GeoshineTM concrete polishing system.
The Home Show Is a Lot of Fun
I get to meet a broad range of people – home owners, owner-builders, architects, builders and renovators – who are interested in talking about polished concrete, which is my passion.
Last year, my first time at the show, my stand won the prize for ‘Best Stand under 19m2’. That was a surprise, but most welcome! The stand also did its job in a marketing sense, generating a lot of work for my business during the year.
A New Look
I’ve enjoyed putting together some new elements of my stand for this year. I have more polished concrete samples, a new polished concrete bench top with four concrete colours in it, my concrete truck/polishing system display, an expanded brochure, a new video, and my stand team, which includes two promotional staff from Edge Models who do a terrific job.
