I’m so happy we went with Paul Warner from Geocrete. I choose Geocrete purely on Google reviews and it turns out the 4.9 star rating didn’t do them justice. Paul was borderline OCD making sure everything was perfect, to the point where he was fixing imperfections in the concrete I couldn’t even see.
At the initial quote, he did point out the my new concrete had been poorly laid with the lip of new concrete being almost 20mm higher than the existing concrete and explained that it would be super time consuming and expensive($2000 extra to make it perfect). I decided with the spa fence going there to leave the lip.
Much to our surprise, upon completion Paul couldn’t live with the job not being perfect so did the hours of extra grinding at much expense wearing the diamond polisher down and asking for no additional money.
Everytime he came to sight he was on time to the minute, if not a few minutes early. He was super flexible working around our time schedule and working around whatever the weather gods threw at us (polished outside area during winter).
Paul is a talented, hard working, passionate tradie who loves his work and takes pride in it. A rare breed these days.

Paul is absolutely THE artist of concrete polishing. His full transparency let me understand all the challenges of transforming a dull slab into a shining dance floor. His passion makes his work stand out in the industry, like doing his own properties and taking care of his own neighbours when doing the job (because the job is very dusty and noisy at certain points). But he managed everything well.
Even though the original concrete floor is not up to the standard for polishing, with his professional knowledge, skills, and techniques, he stretched the goal and made the floor perfect (although he is very picky in quality, to me, it is 100% perfect). His magnificent work apparently added value to the house and IMO it is the best part of the property now.
His work is a triumph at every single level. I couldn’t recommend more.

Paul at Geocrete did a honing project on my 8×4 patio slab in mid-December.
From the moment I made contact with him, his communication was second to none. He was prompt with replies to messages and phone calls and detailed in his explanation of what his work entailed.
When he arrived (on time both days) he was very personable and incredibly professional. I was not in the dark with any aspect of the project. My slab was sloping and when we spoke about cost, I hadn’t mentioned that to him. Paul had quoted me for honing the top of the slab only. When we discussed the cost for honing the sides of the slab, it was going to be an extra $2k. I elected to not get this done. I left Paul to his own devices for an hour or so and when he called me out to hose off the dust and show me what the aggregate looked like, to my surprise he had honed the sides of the slab. He did this simply because he is a great guy. It was a wonderful early Christmas present. Bringing me so much joy was all the payment he needed.
I couldn’t recommend Paul at Geocrete more highly. It has been many years since I have dealt with a guy this professional and fastidious in every aspect of his job. It was a delight doing business with him and meeting such a quality human being.

While our floors may speak for themselves and are a constant source of comment and awe from visitors, outside of that, Paul is a really great guy! Having so many people through your house when you’re building can be somewhat gruelling, but Paul was always a pleasure to have on-site and we felt as though he treated our project as if it were his own. He arrived with coffee and tasty treats for us more than once and was also so great (and responsible) with our three dogs which was just the icing on the cake really.

This company contracted Paul Warner of Geocrete to complete the concrete polishing to the ground floor areas of two luxury homes we were building, in the bayside area.
The floor areas to these homes were quite large and expansive, so I was a little concerned on what the finished job would look like. I am now pleased to say EVERYONE who enters either of these homes cannot help but express their admiration for the perfectly finished mirror appearance, especially in the evening when the lights are reflected off the floor.

He gave us great advice from the beginning in regard to all aspects of the job , preparation , aggregates , concerete and lots of little things you wouldnt realise you had to think about.
He also did a fantastic job repairing one of our bathrooms where the floor had been scuffed and scratched quite heavily during the building process by some heavy machinery.
We can not recommend Paul highly enough , everyone who has seen the floors had commented on the quality of the finish and the outstanding result.

Polished concrete was the preferred choice of floor for our new rural home but we were concerned that variability in both the concrete and polishing methods would mean that our expectations might not be met.

How hard is it to find someone with integrity, fair priced, does a great job and is a nice person too! Practically, impossible let me tell you! I have just completed a new home and dealing with contractors is a nightmare! Well, I found Paul through my landscaper Jonathon Cooper (Cooper & Stewart). I was trying to save on costs and thought of just sealing the concrete in the garage. However, Jonathon persuaded me to go the extra and get a product that would last a lifetime if well looked after rather than a couple of years.
Paul came to see me and was very friendly and patient and answered all of my questions. He told me his prices, which I thought very fair, and he started the job that would take a couple of days. He could have finished early but he was not satisfied and came back and extra day. It is not often that I am lost for words or am dumbfounded but when I saw the completed floor I was both! It was like a glass finish!! And this was just plain, oridinary concrete! I had no idea it could look so good. I think Paul got great pleasure at my reaction to seeing the floor !
Paul did comment that the concreter did a great job laying the concrete and this always helps to make a better finish.
