Geoshine™ debut wows in Cowes
Geocrete’s pioneering Geoshine™ polished concrete system had its sensational debut on Victoria’s Phillip Island, with a brilliant floor brimming with beach vibes in the seaside town of Cowes.
In the close knit communities along the Bass Coast, a tradesman’s merit travels with lightning speed by word of mouth. Geocrete’s Paul Warner had already earnt the locals’ admiration as a unique and passionate polished concrete specialist for his work at the San Remo fish and chip shop, the Inverloch surf club, and homes from Fish Creek to Mirboo North and Venus Bay.
Having recognised an industry need for better polishing systems, Paul had for years been making advances on the Husqvana Hiperfloor™ system. In collaboration with industrial chemists, he was creating his own range of superior concrete densifiers, grouts and penetrators, and experimenting with new applications steps.
When clients Marcus and Simonne contacted Paul, wanting a polished concrete floor in their apartment in Cowes’ new golf course estate, they were excited to hear that Paul was ready to introduce his new concrete polishing system Geoshine™, the product of years of experimentation and advanced industry developments.
The result is simply stunning.
Marcus and Simonne chose an aggregate of basalt and a beautiful earthy-pink granite, which give the floor a ‘beach’ vibe and appear like large pieces of Mediterranean terracotta infused in the highly polished concrete matrix. The beautiful high gloss reflection was brought about by the Geoshine™ system’s increased polishing steps and the multiple applications of two different types of concrete densifiers used.
Marcus and Simonne were delighted with the gorgeous, glossy finish of their new floor, which looks sensational set against the crisp white walls and retro furniture of the large open plan living area.
Paul’s advice when choosing a granite and finish was exemplary. We absolutely love our floor – it is the highlight of our house.
Paul was also thrilled with the outcome. “The result was a striking floor of a much higher standard in shine and uniformity, but more importantly, much stronger and longer lasting than any other polishing systems that I have used.
It was so satisfying to see the fruits of my years of experimentation to deliver floors of unsurpassed strength, durability and beauty.
Paul said he looks back fondly on the job, not only for Geoshine’s™ successful debut, but also for Marcus and Simonne’s warmth, and because he completed the job camping in the back of his van, in the days when he only had his Weimaraner dog, and no Ocicats or chooks.
